Ed shot through her hands missing twice, but then shot her temple and kept shooting several times after that making sure she was dead. Ed went back to the campus and covered up the girls bodies with blankets and told the security guard that they were drunk. He then took both bodies home and dismembered them. The next morning he threw the limbs in the ocean and around the hills and made sure there heads were in different locations as well.
His last two victims were his mother and her friend Sally Hallett. Kemper first went into his mothers room and she said "I suppose you want to talk now." and he answered with "no", so he waited until she went to bed and went back in with a claw hammer. He cut off her head used it for oral sex and then he put it on a shelf and used it as a dart board. He also removed her larynx (vocal cords) and put it in the garbage disposal in the kitchen and hid her body in the closet. After that, he invited his mother's friend Sally over and punched her as well as strangled her and laid her naked on his bed, he beheaded her and ran away in Sally's car. As he was in the car, he turned on the radio hoping to hear what he had done, publicly. Since, nobody discovered the bodies he called the police himself and turned himself in, explaining what he had done to his mother and the rest of his victims.
